Winter wedding portrait on fine art paper with torn edges in a white float frame.

Float Frames are a popular add-on for our velvet fine art paper, metal prints, and gallery wraps. We are excited to share that you can now add them to your suede prints and pearl, gloss, matte, and synthetic canvas prints too!

Why Do People Love Float Frames?

Float frames create the illusion that your image is “floating” within a frame rather than being hidden behind glass. This gives a greater sense of depth, enhancing the viewer’s perception of your work as it hangs in their home. With three frame colors to choose from, this gives you the opportunity for the best option to match your client’s aesthetics of their décor.

Depending on which material your image is printed on, the frame depth varies. For metal and fine art prints, the frames are 1¼” deep and 3/8” thick. Gallery wrap float frames are 2” deep and ½” thick.

Are Synthetic Canvas Prints New?

Sort of! We have been using synthetic canvas on art blocks for years. Now you can order it as a fine art piece. It can be a flat canvas print, mounted on masonite, or displayed in a float frame. Some photographers prefer the look of synthetic canvas because this material has a manufactured canvas texture that is more uniform and is lighter than our cotton-woven canvases.

Order your favorite fine art prints and add-on a float frame to create an upscale ready-to-hang product that is sure to wow all who view it.
