What Are Float Frames?
Float frames are a popular mounting option, creating the illusion of your image being suspended in the air, “floating” inside a frame rather than being pressed behind glass. This provides a unique sense of depth, enhancing the viewer’s perception of your work.
For metal and fine art prints, the frames are 1¼” deep and 3/8” thick.
For 1½” gallery wraps, the frames are 2” deep and ½” thick.
All McKenna float frames leave a quarter-inch of air space between the print and the frame and arrive ready to hang with a wire hanger.
